London Rocks completed a festival trilogy in November 2022: each lively, exciting & impactful festivals. We are deeply touched by your kind words and reviews. Moving forwards, we have come to the difficult realisation that to best serve our indie filmmakers, we require funding. Like many fantastic arts events in London and beyond, we are sadly not immune from the UK’s dire cost of living crisis. We will be applying for it this year and are optimistic about our chances - we'll update you as soon as we have news. Meanwhile our sister festivals Hastings Rocks and Brighton Rocks will take place in April and June 2023 respectively and we very much hope to see you there. Huge thanks for your understanding and continued support for Rocks Film Festivals. Rock on!

Festival Directors' Message

London Rocks International Film Festival was established out of a need for a platform for filmmakers to show bold, innovative and authentic films, created internationally and within the city of London. We believe that those making work, regardless of budget and background, should have the opportunity to showcase their films in an inclusive setting with an audience who are looking to participate with something truly new and exciting. Operating outside the confines of mainstream platforms, London Rocks programmes events in underground spaces in London, hosts year-round special events and curated online screenings. We are interested in fictional and documentary films, made by any means necessary, that challenge the boundaries of cinema in form and subject. In an industry where all too often, marginal voices are swept aside in favour of big budgets and polished productions, we celebrate passionate voices that engage with contemporary issues, compelling stories and experimental narratives.
